In the early 1980s the founder of the Oekos Group of Companies, Basil Economides decided to diversify his holdings and invest in land in the Mid-Atlantic region. Oekos started developing residential communities in the United States in 1986 and since then has also branched out into the construction, acquisition and management of office and retail properties.

Our goal is create an ever-growing strategic portfolio of long-term real estate holdings that are diversified in terms of location and use. That means making the correct initial selection of the real estate to be acquired and then constantly investing in its quality upkeep. Above all we invest in the relationships that we establish while engaged in the conduct of our business, knowing that ultimately our most valuable asset is our good name.
